Corporate Strategy" by Günter Müller Stewens and Matthias Brauer was awarded the VHB Textbook Prize 2022. The corporate management model developed by the two authors presents the value drivers with which management teams in diversified companies can create sustainable added value.
Schäffer-Poeschel has received the VHB Textbook Award for the fourth time in a row since 2018; it is awarded for the best newly published or fundamentally revised business administration textbook.
In addition to "Corporate Strategy", other management books were very successful:
"Management Coaching and Positive Psychology" by Nico Rose made it onto the shortlist for the dvct (German Association for Coaching and Training) prize in February 2022. In his work, Nico Rose introduces readers to positive psychology and links it to management coaching. On 239 pages it becomes clear why the author is one of the leading experts on positive psychology in the German-speaking world.
"A modern standard work", is how the getabstract Journal titles Gudrun Happich's publication "Challenges in everyday management". The title received the getabstract Reader's Choice Award 2021. The book is written in an easy-to-understand manner and is primarily aimed at managers with previous experience. Step by step, Gudrun Happich takes her readers by the hand to overcome possible challenges in their new role as leaders.
The two Schäffer-Poeschel authors Sebastian Kernbach and Martin J. Eppler receive a very special prize: in May, they are awarded the HSG Impact Award by the University of St.Gallen (HSG) for their work in the Life Design Lab and the topic of life design and its benefits for individuals, organisations and society. The titles "Life Design" and "Life Design Actionbook" were published by Schäffer-Poeschel as part of the project. Life Design offers creative and visual methods to help readers discover what they are really looking for in their (working) lives.
"We are very pleased and proud that outstanding authors are so successful with their works published by us. The awards are highly deserved and it is no coincidence that among them are books in the field of coaching and management. Knowledge transfer will continue to increase in relevance, and the need for coaching is growing. This is also made clear by the award-winning books," says Volker Dabelstein, Managing Director of Schäffer-Poeschel and Publishing Director of Haufe Publishing.
