My job involves lots of juggling – topics, appointments, projects, and more. As an assistant to the management board, I’m not only responsible for scheduling appointments and planning business trips, I also take on key roles in projects. As well as caring strongly about organizational development at Haufe Akademie, I’m also interested in making our collective “Why” visible and breathing life into our brand essence of “facilitating development.” Broad communication and a large network are key factors and important to me in order to successfully navigate a complex and fast-moving environment. During my leisure time I enjoy being outside, no matter whether on foot, by bike, with a backpack, or simply going for a walk. I love tulips and trees!
Together with my team, I’m responsible for knowledge about the residential sector and the legal side of real estate. The content is integrated with the software for our real estate target groups, and is always practical,up-to-date, and legally sound. I love the dynamic environment with plenty of freedom. Dynamism and freedom are two words that feature heavily in my leisure activities, too. I love golf and the alpine world of mountains and glaciers.
Because the world of work is becoming increasingly complex, you need someone to make it easier to understand. That’s what I’m there for, as an “agile evangelist.” I help Haufe Group on its path toward greater self-organization. I also know what it means to be agile from my two daughters Away from Haufe Group, I try to save the world with free software. Or I escape from reality by writing text adventures.
I’m senior manager in Digital Publishing. This means I’m involved in designing, developing, and implementing digital products in publishing. I’m really lucky that I can play a part in so many exciting and innovative topics – like augmented and virtual reality at the moment. Not only do I live in the digital world, but I’m also at home in the real world, in the Allgäu. This doesn’t stop me from being a big Borussia Dortmund fan, though.
As a Consultant for Corporate Communications, I support the Haufe Group press officer, write press releases, and answer questions from journalists. For Internal Communications, I write articles and maintain the company’s social intranet. What I like about Haufe Group is the open corporate culture. There are no pinstripe suits or strict instructions. Everyone’s on first name terms, and kindness and helpfulness are valued.
I’m team lead at Managed Training Services Event Team. It sounds complex, and it is. My tasks include resource planning, process optimization, customer care, reporting, and subproject management. In other words, I’m a listener, an advice giver, and a firefighter. And it’s fun, because I head up a fantastic seven-person team. Other things I like are traveling, food, fashion, friends, family, and our family dog.
My main task as a software developer at Haufe Group is to look after the front end for one of our highlights – the online platform iDesk2. I like my job here: I have flexible working hours and can use state-of-the-art technology. Away from work, my highlights are mountaineering and climbing. I also enjoy cycling and I’m a youth leader at the German Alpine Club (DAV) in Freiburg.Read more about our work at work.haufegroup.io.
The business side of the software products in Human Resources is my responsibility as a senior product manager. I love the diversity of my work. My tasks range from product and sales planning, through expansion and enhancementof the product portfolio, to exploiting new sales opportunities and business models. I’m part of a sensational PM team, which thrives on a fantastic mix of people and characters, and where it’s great fun to work. What’s more, many cross-unit projects make for plenty of networking in the organization. For example, I’m involved in the Event Team at Haufe Group. We organize lots of different sports and leisure events, where the focus is very much on employees. Away from work, my focus is currently on my family with two young children. If there’s time, I also play field hockey and go skiing and mountain-biking – and I’d like to do more traveling.
Although I’m still pretty new at Haufe Group, I’ve already gained many enriching insights. I love the atmosphere and it’s great to be supported by experienced colleagues. My work in the Startup Relations Team means I’m out and about a lot and in contact with new ideas and interesting personalities. It’s away of satisfying my wanderlust but, at the same time, I can always return home to our beautiful Freiburg. In our team, we work on combining the strengths of Haufe Group and young entrepreneurs in the best ways possible, so that everyone can profit from collaboration.
As an SEO (search engine optimizer) I’m responsible for increasing the visibility of Haufe Group in the web. My work involves finding solutions for content-related and technical issues that fit best with current search engine developments. What I like about Haufe Group is its spirit of change – the company provides us with the toolkit we need to co-create change. When I’m not improving users’ surf experience on websites, I go in search of my own surf adventures: I love chasing waves all over the world.
I’m a senior IT consultant in IT Service Management. I’m very lucky to be able to work on so many exciting and innovative topics –such as the implementation of an Enterprise Service Management for Haufe Group and the various Microsoft-based cloud solutions for internal communication and collaboration. Another exciting aspect of my role as an internal consultant is that I’m in contact with all the Haufe Group locations, which means I support almost every employee in the company with his or her tasks. I might be a techie, but I’m not just a nerd who lives in a digital universe. In the real world, I go to lots of concerts and I’m a huge fan of my hometown soccer team Borussia Mönchengladbach.Read more about our work at work.haufegroup.io.

I am team lead in Client Management with responsibility for an international five-person team of CMs. This role requires an interdisciplinary skill-set, because my team and I are responsible for strategically-important customers. We act as contact people for decision makers and key persons. My mandate is to find the right balance between company and customer objectives. For example, we take the new three-dimensional product and consulting approach “people OS” to customers. This approach puts people at the heart of an organization’s operating system and thus makes a company even more productive. Furthermore,I ensure customer value and liaise closely with other departments at Haufe Group to safeguard the success of our customers.
Outsid ework, I’m hooked on all kinds of sports and outdoor activity. I love the challenge. That’s why I’m active in crisis and catastrophe management. I also like travelling and enjoy diverse cultural exchange. In short: I love what I do. I love connecting to people and giving them value. I love collective success and sustainability – everywhere.
I’ve always dreamed of having a job where I can combine work with travelling. As a member of the Startup Relations Team, that’s exactly what I got – flexible workplaces, great networks, and job satisfaction. By making films and connecting startups to each other, I can see new places and meet people from all over the world.
In my leisure time, I try to keep my social contacts up by organizing cooking evenings, doing sport with friends, or just hanging out.
I am a projectmanager and product owner. I think it’s great that Haufe Group because it is a family-owned company, and that it’s run like one, as well. I’ve worked here for nearly 18 years and there have always been opportunities to take on more responsibility, learn new things, and grow with the company. Of course, I had to be willing and have the courage to embrace change – which is also what Haufe Group stands for as a company. The helpful and open colleagues make Haufe Group special too!
Apart from work, I’m a family person and have two daughters. I travel a lot in my free time – mainly weekend trips to family and friends. I love traveling, especially to new places, and most recently I went to Island. I enjoy skiing and I like watching ice hockey and soccer matches.
I am Product Owner for the Haufe Redaktionssystem, which is a Content Management System within our editorial processes to supply our payed content products. As PO I am responsible for the business perspective regarding agile software development processes and manage the further development of our products. Therefore I match the requirements with customers and stakeholders and prioritize these to achieve the maximal product value. At Haufe Group I appreciate the great confidence set into employees which is shown in big decision-making-scopes and freedom on a daily basis.
In my spare time I like to hike through the Freiburg area, preferably through the black forest. Furthermore, I grow rare vegetable species in my own garden and I am amazed again and again about the variety of the species.
Since I started as a junior product manager at Haufe-Lexware, no two years have been the same. Haufe Group gives me the opportunity to continually develop my skills, take on more responsibility and strengthen my professional networks. As a PM, I get in contact with many different characters every day. Developers don’t think the same way as marketing managers or colleagues in sales do, of course. Therefore my job is really fascinating. I enjoy working at Haufe Group, it has become another “home” for me, mainly because of the great working environment and the lovely colleagues.
As a person from northern Germany, I never wanted to move so far south. And now I’ve been in Freiburg more than eight years and I simply feel happy here. The people, the weather, the wine, and the delicious food are of course some of the reasons! But I’ve also started playing volleyball again, and it's more fun than ever before.
At Haufe Group diversity is embraced, kindness and openness are valued, and we work in a supportive environment. My biggest challenge right now is switching from being a software developer to a scrum master. Every day holds something new . Sometimes, it feels like my job is fighting fires. Most of the time, though, I refer to myself as a coach. And I like it!
Besides work, I love to spend my time with friends, being outside, hiking, or cycling (only in summer though – that’s very important 😉). I laugh a lot – in summer and in winter – and I enjoy being around my two cats. And last but not least: I love music.
