Freiburg, 15 May 2026 – A strong partnership for Freiburg's cultural scene: Haufe Group is joining the Zelt-Musik-Festival as a main sponsor — and is lending its name to the festival's iconic circus tent.

The Zelt-Musik-Festival (ZMF) is laying the groundwork for the years ahead: with Haufe Group on board as an additional main sponsor, the Freiburg cultural institution has gained a powerful new partner. One tangible sign of this collaboration is the renaming of one of the festival's main stages: from now on, the circus tent will be known as the "Haufe Group Zirkuszelt."

"We're thrilled to have Haufe Group — a successful, regionally rooted company — join us as an additional main sponsor," said Hanna Teepe, Managing Director of the Zelt-Musik-Festival Freiburg. "This partnership opens up new possibilities for the festival's future development. Having Haufe Group as the naming sponsor of one of our central venues makes the collaboration tangible for our audiences."

For Haufe Group, the sponsorship is also a deliberate commitment to the region and its cultural diversity:

"The Zelt-Musik-Festival has been a cultural anchor for this region for over 40 years — built on creativity, diversity, and a willingness to keep evolving. Those are values we share," said Birte Hackenjos, CEO of Haufe Group. "We're genuinely excited to play an active role in shaping this remarkable festival and the cultural vitality of the region."

The Zelt-Musik-Festival is one of the most significant festivals of its kind in Germany, drawing tens of thousands of visitors every year. This new main sponsorship is an important step toward sharpening the festival's profile and securing its future for the long term. Haufe Group joins Fürstenberg Brewery, which has been a main sponsor since the festival's early days. Together, the two partners provide a solid foundation for the festival's continued growth.

The 42nd ZMF runs from July 15 to August 2, 2026.

About the ZMF

Founded in 1983, the Freiburg Zelt-Musik-Festival is the oldest festival of its kind in Baden-Württemberg and has been one of the most important and wide-ranging cultural events in the state ever since. Each year, the festival draws nearly 100,000 visitors to its free-admission grounds, which offer the unique atmosphere of a tent city nestled in nature. A program spanning an exceptionally broad range of cultural genres is a big part of what makes it special. National and international headliners and emerging artists alike blur the lines between generations and musical styles — from children's theater and classical matinees to jazz, rock, pop, and indie concerts, all the way to late-night DJ sets. The festival's action program offers accessible entry points to music, cabaret, and workshop events, rounding out the main program across four stages.
